Well, Joe West is at it again…except this time maybe, just maybe he got the call right.

Recently, the frequently maligned Major League Baseball umpire claimed the length of a Red Sox versus Yankees game in the season opening series was “pathetic and embarrassing.”

The game, which officially lasted 3 hours and 21 minutes, was, ironically, the shortest in a series that also featured games lasting 3:46 and 3:48.

Besides a better choice of words and timing, I couldn’t agree more with Joe West’s point.
